I’m your Independent MP for Birmingham Perry Barr. I was raised in Aston, in a big working-class family that taught me honesty, graft and looking out for your neighbours. Birmingham made me who I am, and everything I do is about giving something back.

I didn’t grow up expecting to become a barrister or an MP. I worked my way there. First in local community roles, then as a councillor, and later fighting cases in court for people who just needed someone in their corner. Standing up for others has always been my driving force.

In 2024, Perry Barr put its trust in me as an independent voice: no party lines, no scripts, just straight talking and hard work.

My mission is simple: better services, fair chances for everyone, and a politics that actually listens. Birmingham deserves nothing less.
